The story
Golden retrievers were bred to swim, run and work with people, and they need more friends and more room than most dogs. Golden Hour started in Georgia, where we hand-researched all 150 public dog parks and scored each one for goldens on what actually matters: water to swim in, room to run, fences, shade and drinking water. Then we mapped every off-leash dog park in the country so any golden family can find the closest one.
The app adds what a map can’t: tap “I’m here” and nearby goldens see there’s a friend to play with; RSVP to swim days and puppy socials; if a golden goes missing, every member within 25 miles gets an alert. A private health log tracks weight, vet visits and lumps, because goldens get them more than most breeds.
