By creating a Golden Hour account or using the app, you agree to these terms. They’re written to be read, so please do.
Keep it kind
Golden Hour is for golden retriever people to help each other and meet up. You agree not to post anything abusive, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, misleading or illegal; not to impersonate anyone; not to spam or advertise without permission; and not to use the app to sell animals. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members.
Reporting and moderation
You can report any post, meetup, profile, photo or sighting, and block any member, from inside the app. Blocking hides everything that member shares from you. A real person reviews every report within 24 hours, and we remove content and suspend or remove members who break these terms.
Your content
You own what you post. You give Golden Hour permission to store and show it to other members so the app can work. You’re responsible for what you share, including having the right to share any photos.
Meetups and parks
- Meetups are organized by members, not by Golden Hour. You go at your own risk and you’re responsible for your dog’s behavior, health and vaccinations.
- Only bring dogs that are vaccinated and comfortable around other dogs, and follow each park’s posted rules, leash laws and permits.
- Park details and Golden Scores are a helpful guide, not a guarantee. Hours, fees and facilities change, so check the official park page before you go.
Lost golden alerts
Only report a dog as lost if it really is lost, and mark it home as soon as it’s safe. False or prank alerts get the account removed. Alerts go to members nearby and depend on their phones and settings, so always contact local animal control, shelters and your microchip company too.
Advice is from owners, not vets
Health and training tips in Golden Hour come from fellow owners and general guidance. They are not veterinary advice. If your dog is sick or hurt, call your vet.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
The legal part
Golden Hour is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for injuries, losses or disputes arising from meetups, park visits, interactions between members or their dogs, or reliance on information in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Golden Hour means you accept the updated terms.
